You may not have all the skills you need but that’s OK, you will find that starting a home based internet business can be a lot more fun than work. You see there are a lot of programs and software that can take the work right out of the business and to see something that you have created become alive is very rewarding.

I think the hardest part to starting a business online is deciding on what it is that you would like to do that can make you an income. But it shouldn’t be all that hard as there are many things and ways to produce an income and as you spend more time in looking around you will find that you can do almost anything on the internet.

There is no better time then the present to be starting a home based internet business! When I was first starting my business there were not as many upstart programs and the learning curve was very steep. Sure there were some programs out there but the saturation of so many doing the same thing with the same web page and ads was hurting all of us.

Now there are a diversity of programs for the beginner with all sort of helping guilds and even one to one support. So you will have a well laid out plan already tried and tested for you to begin your business with. The cost to you for purchasing one of these plans can be very affordable and considering what all is entailed it is a bargain! There are some free plans that are offered and some are good but beware of the free gift. Like the saying,” there’s no free lunch” you may end up spending much more time and money then if you made an upfront purchase for a teaching program.

You may wonder if the program you are buying is the right one for you but remember that although you may not stay with it you will learn much from the experience and you will grow much faster if you act on what ever plan you do find. For a price of a good meal in a nice restaurant you will acquire months of learning that you most likely would not of learn teaching yourself.

To choose a good program, first look into what is offered to you. Will you learn how to make a unique product or skill that when you are finished with the teaching you will be able to accomplish something like making a web site or blog or become a better writer…etc? Does the program offer step by step teaching and promises to refund your money if you are not happy with it? How long do you have to make up your mind two weeks, a month, 90days…? Make sure you take some time to think about the program before you purchase it so you don’t get pressured into something you may regret later.

I personally like everything laid out in videos so I can see what is being done and can always replay it over and over again. Yet a good set of instructions can do wonders as well. To me the product is only as good as the support is, if you have good support then you can accomplish so much more and succeed in your business.

Should You Put Crabs In Your Aquarium?

Millions of aquarists all over the the U.S. enjoy having aquariums in their home. And purchasing a fresh water fish tank and designing your fish tank decor can be fun. For the beginning aquarist, one of the first things they fantasize about, is what to put in the tank.

For a lot of people, the answer to that question is hermit crabs. Hermit crabs are not true crabs but are members of the crustaceans family. For many years, they have been popular among both kids and grown ups for a couple of reasons.

Hermit crabs are fascinating creatures to observe. They are one of the few species that carry around their house on their back. Their shells of choice are shells left behind by sea snails, although they aren’t adamant about it. The second thing, however, is that they are very low maintenance creatures.

Hermit crabs are constantly upgrading to new homes. As they grow, they will outgrow their shell and require new, larger shells. And that’s where you come in. You have to make sure there’s a variety of different sized shells in the tank so that they feel comfortable upgrading from their current shell to a new one.

Finding the exact kind of hermit crab to choose may be difficult for you. There are literally hundreds of species available to you from pet stores. One factor that may help to cut down your hunt is that some species survive better in captivity than others. The best thing to do is to talk to your local pet shop owner. He can help you to choose which ones are the most suitable for aquarium living. Two of the most popular aquarium hermit crabs are the red hermit crab and the red legged hermit crab.

When you decide to buy a pet, you are taking on the responsibility for caring for it. As for the hermit crab, the most important thing you can do before you place it in your fish tank is to be sure that you have done your best to find out its environmental needs and satisfy them. This will result in the best all-around outcome for all concerned.

You can read more articles concerning aquarium pets, as well as salt water tanks at Jim’s site.

You’ve read all of the books on the Theory of Constraints and heard of the terrific successes other achieve with this method. You may be wondering what a real implementation looks like. I’ve led nearly 100 implementations and have seen a wide range of companies.

All implementations of the Theory of Constraints will follow this general pattern: procedure development, education, implementation, [LOOK AT THE BOTTOM LINE!], procedure and policy refinement, re-education and re-implementation. Implementations are fun and staggering in the bottom line results they achieve.

What can you expect in your implementation?

It’s difficult to give a specific answer to that question, since every organization is different. In general, the implementation goes like this:

* Enthusiastic changing of some policies

* Unbelievably positive improvement

* Less enthusiastic changing of more policies and procedures

* Positive improvement

* The constraint moves to an area not addressed by the initial implementation.

* Pretty good improvement

* Results level off

* Management looks elsewhere to improve

Most theory of constraints implementations in manufacturing are completed in less than 2 years. The plant is now running like clockwork, costs are down, performance is up. The constraint is no longer in manufacturing. The focus of the business and the improvement projects must now shift to external issues. So, rightfully so, the attention of the organization moves to other areas, not in manufacturing.

However in those 2 years you’ve implemented, your business will change in ways you can’t possibly imagine today. Your performance will level off at a much higher level of performance you are enjoying today. How about a 43% annual ROI? Could you sit there awhile? I know a company that did. How about taking your order fulfillment cycle from 3 weeks to 3 hours and stalling there? I know another company that did that.

The first stage of the implementation will be like housecleaning, with many constraints that you identify and then quickly break. Each time you break one, results improve. This period lasts about 90 days. Eventually, you’ll find a constraint that will be difficult to break. Might be the market. Might be the product. Might be a $2 million machine.

Then comes the hard work. Implementing the system to exploit and subordinate will take longer than the quick results you’ve been getting up until now. If you don’t prepare for it, the implementation can get bogged down here. This phase may take 30 days; it might take 6 months. It’s at this time the commitment you’ve gained in the prior steps will pay off. It’s not really that fun implementing a scheduling process and dealing with people that want to work on product early. You’ll also encounter the “back to Egypt” crowd here. (The “back to Egypt” crowd was the Israelites that thought they were better off being slaves in Egypt than being killed at the Red Sea – just before the Red Sea parted.) They’re the ones who will insist that everything was better before the theory of constraints management concept came around. They’ll resist changing. Project deliverables will be missed. People will be “reassigned” because they won’t change. It will happen.

The most difficult obstacle to continuing improvement is inertia. Your implementation process must move people from working in the business to actively working on the business. Anything you can do to remove the fear of change will help you achieve your goal.

A typical implementation of the theory of constraints gets positive bottom line results. If you’re committed to managing the constraints and not letting them manage you, you’ll continue to see positive results on your bottom line.

I don’t know what happened but it happened very early in my daughter’s life. She was barely speaking when we drove by a McDonald’s and she uttered the words French fries. Though I know she may have had a happy meal or two, I wasn’t sure why she was so familiar with the golden arches. Essentially, McDonald’s foods taste very good. This doesn’t mean that I want her to eat there all the time though. I had to find out why she was so familiar with that particular restaurant.

As it turned out, many people in my family were feeding her a happy meal every chance they got. She had grandparents who would take her overnight, and also a family friend who would baby sit on occasion. Because of the unique situation of our family, many people took it upon themselves to do exactly what they wanted. They never once asked me if it was okay for her to have a happy meal so often, and it was not something I thought I had to say.

I know a happy meal can be fun for a child, but that doesn’t mean it is good for them. When she recognized McDonald’s from the shape of the arches, I became very worried. Being overweight is something that runs in my family, and I hope to spare her from that if I can. I want her to know that a happy meal, on occasion, is not a big deal. However, I don’t want her to have one once or twice a week.

My daughter is now five years old, and I am still battling the effects of the happy meal. When we are at home, she often asks for an apple or a banana if she is hungry, but that is different when we are away from home. When we say we need to stop somewhere for dinner, she instantly asks for a happy meal. Though she often loves to go to Subway, and gets excited when we visit a sit down restaurant, the happy meal is still her first choice. I don’t want to make it too big of a deal, or she may eat them like crazy once she is able to buy her own meals. They may seem like fun, but in the end, I am afraid they can lead to a lifetime of bad habits. I guess I cannot control what she eats a she is away from home, but I can make sure that she eats well while she’s with me.
